In Canada, citizens, permanent residents, international students, work permit holders, and visitor visa holders can legally own guns and hunt. Canada's gun license Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) is issued by the Gun Licensing Authority, which is affiliated with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. It is the same license for all of Canada, but please note that if you move, you must notify the Gun Licensing Authority in a timely manner.
